3rd Annual Virtual Parish Ministry Conference

Our 3rd Annual Virtual Parish Ministry Conference, "Called to be Saints" (1 Cor 1: 2) will be held on October 30 & 31, 2020. Lector Formation Webinar: Jesus Christ Made Present in our Proclamation

“In Sacred Scripture, the Church constantly finds her nourishment and her strength, for she welcomes it not as a human word, ‘but as what it really is, the word of God’. In the sacred books, the Father who is in heaven comes lovingly to meet his children, and talks with them.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 104). When Sacred Scripture is proclaimed in the Liturgy Jesus Christ is made present. This webinar will explore the Church’s teaching on the presence of Jesus Christ in Sacred Scripture, paying special attention to the role and importance of the liturgical proclamation of Scripture, and discuss how that impacts the ministry of Lector.
