This event is the first of the Divina Eloquia Patristic Series, hosted by the Ecclesiastical Faculty of Theology at St. Augustine's Seminary. Leo the Great is best known for his contribution to the fourth ecumenical Council at Chalcedon. But his experience with synods is much broader and deeper. This talk will present Leo's involvement in synods, with a particular emphasis on how this relates to his role as a Roman pope and to leadership in the Church.
